Life is dull, only drama is colourful.

Today both groups showcased their performances for peer comment as well as to get a sense of a full run to see our timing.
After the performance, we were given some feedback.
The good ones:
The themes of each scene and the methods we showcased them were very clear.
We asked questions regarding the scenes and the message and the audience were able to get the message.
Characters could engage the audience.
The audience felt for the characters and could understand their plights.
The areas for improvement / questions by the audience.
Plot:
1) The ending was too abrupt.
2) Why do the family members not come on during the ending?
3) last scene should be used to show that pluto binds the family together.
These questions would be solved on monday during our rehearsal
My character:
1) As a father, i am not convincing enough.
To solve this, i will have to do my own research and observe other fathers as they walk along the streets more, to have a wider choice of characterization to study and compare with. From that i will be able to derive my own character and further enhance it. What's more, maybe even an interview with a father who loves his daughter alot might help.
2) As the president, i am not scary enough.
Today i have been hearing and listening again and again to the music of diavolo the president. i will have to make a few changes to his staging and his blocking in the scene. His voice also needs to instill fear in the audience. His character must be strong. I will need to list out the dramatic possibilities and explore them in my time.
